Mike Schmidt had a younger brother named Garret, he was taken off when Mike was only 12 and he saw it all unfold. He keeps dreaming the moment to try and figure out who took Garret. Fast forward years later, his mother has died and it's said that his father couldn't handle it, implying that he either left or committed suicide, resulting in Mike looking after his younger sister, Abby, all on his own. He gets kicked from his old security job working as a security guard in the local mall after beating down a man in public after he thought the man was trying to abduct a child.
After that, he was employed as a night guard in an old deserted pizzeria : Freddy Fazbear’s. While he was doing this job every nights, he slept at work to keep dreaming of his brother and his dreams connected with souls of the missing children and discover that they were kidnapped and murdered by the same person who took his brother away. He also discovered that the missing children haunted the animatronics : Freddy, Bonnie, Chica & Foxy and that their bodies are into the robots. Even if they want to find out and kill their murderer, the animatronics, somehow, are controlled by the purple guy and he known that Mike was looking for him so he tried to kill Mike using the animatronics.
Mike survived hardly to them and was nursed by Vanessa who revealed that the animatronics wanted Abby to become one of them and that she is the purple guy’s daughter. Mike went back to the pizzeria to save his sister and fought the animatronics. Vanessa, even if she knew that her father would come, came to help Mike saving Abby. Mike, Vanessa and Abby met the terrifying Spring Bonnie costume wore by William Afton. Abby reached to tell the controlled animatronics that William Afton is their murderer so they attacked him and trigger the suit’s spring locks. William was trapped in the suit and got compressed death.
